About Us

We fell in love with bees when we discovered some of the amazing places they are kept. Did you know there are bee hives on the roof of Tate Modern or Fortnum and Mason in London?

We’ve kept bees in our suburban garden ever since. In suburbia, our bees have access to trees and gardens, parks and wild spaces such as railway tracks and electricity substations. There’s a great variety of plants and far less use of the insecticides that can cause so much harm for the bees when used in intensive farming in the countryside.

Tending to our bees has given us an opportunity to spend time with these fascinating and vital little creatures. So while the Suburban Bee Company has expanded beyond our garden, the wellbeing of our honeybees is the heart of our philosophy.

Or please send us an email – we’d love to hear from you.
